Earning and redeeming Reward Money is easy with Barclaycard Freedom.

For the most part it's shopping as usual. You still select your purchase, choose to pay with your Barclaycard and enter your pin the same way you always have.

But here's the exciting bit. With every purchase at a participating retailer you can earn Reward Money then redeem it at selected stores within the programme.

At the till, the chip and pin terminal will tell you what your Reward Money Balance is and ask you if you'd like to redeem it against that purchase.

If you don't want to use any of your Reward Money on this transaction you simply press cancel or clear and proceed to enter your pin as usual.

If, instead, you'd like use some or all of your Reward Money to pay for the purchase you'll then be prompted to enter the amount of Reward Money you'd like to redeem and use your Barclaycard to pay for the rest.

You can even redeem Reward Money to pay for your entire purchase!

If you enter in more Reward Money than you have in your account, you'll be notified on the following screen.

However, if you have sufficient funds in your Barclaycard Freedom Reward Account, the transaction progresses as normal.

And in addition to the percentage you'll earn on purchases at participating retailers, you can expect any offers or special promotions available at the time to be automatically applied to your transaction.

So you won't ever need to carry around vouchers, coupons or reference numbers.

Once the transaction is complete your receipt will clearly show the amount of Reward Money redeemed on the purchase and your new Reward Money balance - ensuring you'll always know where you stand.

Every time you use your Barclaycard at most participating retailers, 1% of the purchase made with your Barclaycard will be earned as Reward Money (except 0.5% at Shell).

Redeem easily

Reward Money is automatically credited upon purchase and can be redeemed at selected stores within the programme. You'll be able to pay for all or part of your purchase with Reward Money. Just how much is up to you. Please remember that if you're using Reward Money for part payment, your Barclaycard must be used for the remainder of the purchase.
